This story is hilarious, while at the same time delivers a powerful message... be happy with what you have  and recognize how truly great your life is already.

Thelma Themed Toys

Adding an element of play is yet another way to deepen the understanding of the concepts introduced within the multiple readings of the story.  You'll be surprised at the amount of learning that's transferred and reinforced through  imaginative play.
Why I Love These Specific Playthings:
  • Each item has a direct connection to Thelma the Unicorn.
  • There are no batteries.
  • They encourage imaginative play.
  • They make it easy to re-enact the story.
  • They take the learning another step forward.

"Children are made readers on the laps of their parents." — Emilie Buchwald
My favorite part of each guide has to be the comprehension questions. We read together all the time, but  I never know what questions to ask. These guides have the basic questions, but also, deeper thought provoking questions that really get my kids  thinking!     Andrea Lubitz - Charlotte, NC
