"I would be the most content if my children grew up to be the kind of people who think decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves." ~ Anna Quindlen
How to "Read it Again"

1. Begin by choosing one of the books from our home page. You will need an actual hard copy or digital version of the book you choose. You can purchase your book from us via Amazon.com, borrow a copy from the library, or visit a local bookstore.
Once you have your book in hand, it’s time to get busy!
2. The first reading of the story should be simple and pure. Just read the story. Don't stop to ask questions or explain. Snuggle in close to one another. There are no hidden agendas or plans for this reading.
After your first reading, try to find time to "read it again. Shoot for at least two or three (if not more) additional readings of the story over the course of the few days. It's even okay to read the book multiple times a day... I actually encourage it! You want your child to love the book and want to hear it again and again.
3. If you've purchased one of our Beyond the Book downloads, try to follow-up each reading with one of the ideas we've provided. The ideas and materials are educational and aligned specifically with each book. No two downloads contain the same activities or ideas
Each of our Beyond the Book downloads includes the following:
If choose not to purchase our resource downloads, try to focus on a different literacy skill with each new reading. Ideas can be found within the book's page within our site.
It’s within this layering of reading, follow-up activities, and play that the real magic happens!
It’s just that simple!
